If you need to have artwork created for your advertisement there will be a one-off charge of €50 for this service. Minor amendments to existing advertisements with SCAN will be free of charge, e.g. change of mobile numbers/web addresses etc.

If you are supplying your own artwork please follow the guidelines below:

• CMYK: All images, logos, photos, etc. must be saved as CMYK, not RGB. Digital cameras, scanners and computer monitors use RGB (Red, Green & Blue) to make up colours. Printing presses use CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black). Your design software will make this conversion for you.
• RESOLUTION: Save all images, logos, photos, etc at 300dpi (dots per inch) at the size at which they will be printed. A low-resolution image will print ‘bit mapped’, or fuzzy. Images downloaded from the internet are most likely to be too low a resolution for print.
• BLEED & CROPS: If you want to print right to the very edge of the page, allow an extra 3mm over the edge of the page to allow us to trim it back to size. Don’t forget to put in crop marks to show us exactly where to cut.
• TINTS: Use tints of colours if you wish, but don’t go below 10%, as this may not show up on the printed page.
• TYPE FONTS: Make sure all fonts are embedded in your document
